.....This picture is digitally painted by me with the help of the Graphic-Program 'Gimp'. Each of my pictures is unique and not a reproduction or alteration of somebody else' s work. I never use fotos as a basis and i do not use foreign stocks, but i sometimes work with stocks i have digitally created ( painted or drawn) on MY OWN. So each of my pictures is a unique work of art. You can buy prints and postcards of it here on FAA.

Irmgard~I know nothing about the Gimp software, and your work absolutely fascinates me. This gallery is not only outstanding and thought-provoking, but also, has some humor in it. I chose this one for the great values in b&w the excellent design, and the somewhat fun of a face here with eyes and a bulbous nose as befits old-time actor W.C. Fields. Even without that suggestion, this is just outstanding design work. V/F

Lenore, Gimp is ok but it has some restrictions ( so they tell me ) A few years ago I had loaded it down from the internet, because it is freeware and since then I have taught myself to work with it. A year ago i wanted to change to Photo-shop, because I admire the wonderful subtile abstracts and fractals people make ( and which you can never achieve with Gimp) but i did not get along with Photo-shop at all. Maybee i am too stupid technically... maybe i am too much used to Gimp, i dont know. So i try to make the best out of good old Gimp. I am so happy that you like my art and i thank you very much for the kind comment.
